Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Specialist to join our team at Reed Finance. As an Indirect Tax Manager, you will play a critical role in providing strategic finance leadership across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance and Governance: Manage compliance with all indirect and direct tax matters across the organization, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, line manage, and provide day-to-day support to the tax analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Process Improvement: Lead strategic improvement to the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and controls to support tax operations, driving business growth and excellence.
  • Relationship Building: Build and manage relationships within the organization to ensure that all taxes are considered where projects are being undertaken, promoting a culture of tax awareness and compliance.
  • Tax Strategy: Ensure that the organization has a sound tax strategy in place, which is followed at all times, minimizing tax risks and optimizing tax benefits.

Requirements:

  • Professional Qualifications: Professionally qualified (CTA or similar) with significant post-qualification tax experience at a senior level within a large, complex environment.
  • Leadership Experience: A strong track record of leadership and delivery at a senior financial level, with extensive experience of leading and managing teams to deliver excellence.
  • Tax Expertise: Substantial professional VAT experience, with a deep understanding of tax regulations and industry best practices.
