We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team at Benjamin Edwards. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Head of Finance and driving business growth and success.

About the Role

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for developing and implementing solid costing processes, controls, and reporting. You will utilize our newly implemented ERP and BI tools to evolve management information and support and drive change to increase competitiveness and value throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with key stakeholders to evolve management reporting using our ERP and BI reporting tools.
  • Analyze financial and business data to assess and challenge performance, and to assist management decision making.
  • Develop and embed standard costing methodology throughout the organization.
  • Take a hands-on approach with the Sales and Operations teams to assist and guide activities ranging from new business development and commercial pricing, planning, and forecasting, through to factory performance measurement and improvement.
  • Lead in process development and work with management to drive meaningful insights and control to support and influence business performance.
  • Support the business's improvement goals by being involved in a range of development projects.
  • Support, drive, and lead projects as required to deliver business improvement, including finance-led initiatives and providing finance support to operational or customer-facing projects.
  • Assist the wider Finance team with ad hoc duties as required and be happy to act as cover and support to broader finance activities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Good knowledge and experience of ERP and reporting systems, with Dynamics and Power BI being desirable.
  • Experience and understanding of process manufacturing and standard costing methodology.
  • Naturally inquisitive with a mindset to ask why and a desire to get involved and make things happen.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to bring meaningful insights and make a real difference.
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills to get to know the business, our people, and our stakeholders.
  • A sense of humor and a desire to enjoy your time at work.

Desired Knowledge and Skills

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or qualified by experience.
  • A desire to get involved and make things happen.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Analytically minded with the ability to turn data into insight and action.
  • Good knowledge and experience of ERP and reporting systems, with MS Dynamics and Power BI experience being desirable.
  • Manufacturing sector experience would be preferable, although not essential.
  • Process and systems orientated, with MS ERP, Power BI, Advanced Excel, and other systems expertise being highly desirable.
  • Experience of working alongside management in a manufacturing/FMCG environment preferred.
