About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at MSC Industrial Supply. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in driving business performance and ensuring the financial health of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
  • Provide financial guidance and support to senior management to inform business decisions
  • Manage and optimize financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Lead and mentor the Management Accountant team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business initiatives and improve financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • CIMA (or equivalent) Qualified with 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Previous experience working within a Group company structure and matrix organization
  • Experience of product margin and inventory accounting
