About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chief Technician to join our Aseptic Services team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality aseptic products to our patients, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Aseptic Services team to ensure the delivery of aseptic products in accordance with national standards and cGMP regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and standard operating procedures to ensure the effective management of aseptic services.
  • Collaborate with the Aseptic Operations Manager to create, lead, manage, and develop the Trust's aseptic service.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a controlled documentation system and the completion of production records and training documents.
  • Provide professional and technical support to the aseptic production service, including the development of new processes and the maintenance of a Quality Management System.
Requirements
  • Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Extensive technical services experience in NHS licensed and/or unlicensed units or equivalent pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience of managing staff, including sickness, performance, conduct, and appraisal processes.
  • Experience of change management and the development of new processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and to motivate others.
  • Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure, with frequent and unpredictable interruptions.
  • Ability to gown into cleanrooms.
