About Our Company

Job Summary

You will be supporting the Senior Payroll Manager with training, overseeing, and mentoring a team of 3 Payroll Officers. This is a hands-on role, so you will still be responsible for processing your own payrolls for various clients. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Supporting with training more junior members of the payroll team
  • Acting as a point of escalation for complex payroll queries
  • Producing various payrolls from cradle to grave
  • Carrying out manual calculations
  • Processing P45s, P46s, P11Ds
  • Calculating maternity, paternity, and sickness pay
  • Running various payroll reports
  • Liaising with HMRC and pension providers
  • Processing new starters and leavers
  • Preparing year-end returns

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Must have a proven track record of working in payroll
  • Must have knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory payments
  • Will have some experience of training, mentoring, or supervising others
