Join a dynamic team as a Ticketing Operations Specialist with a prominent Tour Operator.
As a key member of our client's Reservations Service Team, the successful applicant will be tasked with ensuring that tickets are processed accurately and promptly, while efficiently managing schedule modifications.
Experience in ticketing and GDS is crucial for this position, and in return, our client offers a competitive salary around £28k, along with bonuses and outstanding benefits within the travel industry.
Key Responsibilities of the Ticketing Operations Specialist:
- Maintain up-to-date queues, including schedule adjustments, general inquiries, web requests, native issues, and re-issues.
- Conduct end-of-day checks to confirm that all tickets have been issued.
- Monitor fluctuations in fuel, taxes, and fares, ensuring timely communication with agents and clients.
- Assist in the BSP Ticket Audit process.
- Keep track of schedule changes, informing agents and customers accordingly, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Notify the crisis management team of any airline service disruptions affecting passengers and ensure adherence to contingency plans.
- Support airline refund processes, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
- Investigate any received ADM's and, if necessary, dispute them with the airlines.
- Ensure E-tracker refunds are processed promptly and accurately based on reports.
- Facilitate the rebooking of flights, accommodations, and transfers as required.
- Provide out-of-hours support as needed on a rota basis or to cover absences.
Essential Skills for the Role:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in airline reservations or ticketing, utilizing a GDS.
- Outstanding customer service abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
- Capability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively under tight deadlines.
