About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Social Worker to join our team at Tameside Council. As a key member of our Community Mental Health Teams, you will play a vital role in providing social care to individuals with moderate to severe mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and complete funding applications, COPDOLs, and 21a challenges as required.
  • Work with children transitioning from children's services with mental health needs.
  • Support the council's obligations under the Care Act.
  • Provide mental health support to residents of Tameside.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with experience in adult social care and mental health practice.
  • Current driving license or supported driver with use of vehicle.
