About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Programmer to join our team at M-CNC Ltd. As a CNC Milling Programmer, you will play a crucial role in controlling the production of programs and conforming parts on the machines, ensuring that the organisation meets its customers' expectations of quality and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create programs for the CNC machines from models and drawings using CAD/CAM packages for offline programming and online programming on the machines.
- Specify/select the correct tooling to manufacture the part using the most efficient processes.
- Specify/select the correct work holding system to manufacture the parts.
- Safely operate/use the machine.
- Load programs onto the machine and select the defined tooling and set it with the correct offsets.
- Conduct in-process inspection of parts being produced by the machine they are setting and operating.
- Use the SFDC (Shop Floor Data Collection) to clock on and off the jobs accurately.
- Suggest improvements to the program/tooling that will improve the productivity/quality of the parts or process.
- To be able to use CMM Measuring Equipment (training given if required).
- Be the subject matter expert in CNC machining on lathes.
- Help train and mentor trainee setter/operators, operators, and apprentices.
- Use best practice to increase the efficiency, productivity, and quality of the programs for the machines.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience programming Fanuc CNC/Siemens Controls.
- Minimum of 5 years setting and operating CNC Mills.
- You must have a reliable commute to work and live in commutable distance to M-CNC Ltd.
