About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Operations team at Hydro International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our telemetry products and supporting our suppliers to meet our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule production of electronics equipment and ensure that it meets our quality requirements.
  • Produce work instructions for production and manage supplier relationships to ensure that they meet our quality standards.
  • Conduct annual supplier audits in accordance with ISO9001 and additional supplier visits, especially during product builds.
  • Manage non-conformances and corrective actions for Hydro Electronics Products.
  • Obtain and analyze supplier re-work and failure rate data where possible.
  • Check for any gaps and inadequacies on Hydro drawings and work with the Product Development team to get these resolved.
Compliance
  • Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organization.
  • Gather internal information in response to compliance audits and regulatory requests.
  • Review marketing materials, presentations, and websites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out ATEX / EX Authorised Person responsibilities as specified by BS EN 80079-34.
  • Carry out the duties of the 'Responsible persons' and 'technical persons with executive function' as specified by BS EN 60079.
Requirements
  • Must be able to read engineering drawings.
  • A good understanding of electronics assembly manufacturing processes is essential.
  • They need to be computer literate.
  • They must have a good knowledge of ISO9001.
  • They should be capable of working methodically to ensure that quality is not compromised even when working under time constraints.
Software and Systems
  • Microsoft suite.
  • Warranty dashboard experience.
  • ERP systems such as NAV or SAP.
Industry and Experience
  • Working in the electronics manufacturing industry, experience with EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) companies.
Desirable Skills
  • Good communication with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good time management.
