At Orka Financial, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in managing a team of three reports and supporting the Financial Controller in driving business growth and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee month-end processes, with a focus on automation and process improvement.
- Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany matching processes.
- Manage fixed asset and IFRS 16 maintenance, including annual asset reviews.
- Prepare and submit ONS returns and cashflow forecasts.
- Support the annual audit and statutory accounts process.
- Develop and maintain reporting and business partnering capabilities for indirect cost centers.
- Monitor and track lease agreements, and support property and import/export compliance strategies.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, synergies, and EBIT improvement.
- Prepare and present monthly business review reports.
- Manage corporation tax preparation and review, and optimize processes through SAP.
- Ensure accurate VAT returns for the UK and Ireland, and manage multiple currency transactions.
- Document process flows across finance.
