Position Summary

We are thrilled to announce an opening for a Wellbeing Team Lead within our dedicated organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring that older individuals living independently receive the support they need to lead fulfilling lives. Compensation: Approximately £32,000 FTE

Employment Type: Full or Part-time options available, 30 – 37.5 hours per week

Our organization, along with its charitable arm, operates within diverse communities, focusing on providing accommodation and support to older adults. We emphasize a person-centered approach, ensuring that our residents can live independently while receiving holistic support tailored to their needs. Our funding comes from a combination of investments and income generated through our housing initiatives.

As we embark on a new strategic direction, we aim to broaden our impact within the community, enhancing our services beyond our current reach. The individual in this role will play a crucial part in shaping and implementing our vision.

Role Purpose

The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the daily operations of the housing facilities, promoting a secure and supportive environment that fosters community and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure effective communication with residents through community meetings, newsletters, and notice boards.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with relevant organizations to advocate for residents' access to benefits and services.
  3. Manage and supervise the Wellbeing Team and the housing facilities.
  4. Oversee the collection of housing contributions from residents, including those experiencing financial difficulties.
  5. Lead community engagement initiatives, including the expansion of shared community spaces.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in a residential setting, such as an Almshouse.
  • Practical experience in case management.
  • A solid understanding of Equal Opportunities legislation and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Strong event planning capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Experience in staff management and development.
