As a Senior Software Engineer, VP of Technology, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and excellence in our technology team, Blackstone Technology & Innovations (BXTI).
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic vision and leadership for the Client and Firmwide Platforms team, aligning technology initiatives with business goals and objectives.
* Define and execute the technology roadmap for client-facing and firmwide platforms, leveraging emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and enhance operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with senior executives, business stakeholders, and technology partners to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure successful project delivery.
* Provide technical guidance and oversight in the design and architecture of software applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
* Drive the successful execution of technology projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Identify and mitigate technology risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
* Collaborate with external vendors and technology partners to evaluate and select solutions, manage relationships, and drive value for Blackstone.
Requirements
* Experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring teams of software engineers and technical professionals.
* Strong strategic thinking and ability to align technology initiatives with business goals and objectives.
* Deep understanding of software development principles, architecture, and best practices.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade senior executives and business stakeholders.
* Experience in successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate through ambiguity and drive results.
* Experience in the financial services industry or related field is preferred.
* Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
