Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, VP to join our Client and Firmwide Platforms team at Blackstone Technology & Innovations (BXTI). As a key member of our team, you will drive innovation, foster a culture of excellence, and contribute to the long-term growth and success of Blackstone.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic vision and leadership for the Client and Firmwide Platforms team, aligning technology initiatives with business goals and objectives.
  • Define and execute the technology roadmap for client-facing and firmwide platforms, leveraging emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior executives, business stakeholders, and technology partners to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight in the design and architecture of software applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Drive the successful execution of technology projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate technology risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and technology partners to evaluate and select solutions, manage relationships, and drive value for Blackstone.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and provide thought leadership to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring teams of software engineers and technical professionals.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to align technology initiatives with business goals and objectives.
  • Deep understanding of software development principles, architecture, and best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade senior executives and business stakeholders.
  • Experience in successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate through ambiguity and drive results.
  • Experience in the financial services industry or related field is preferred.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
