We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Support Worker to join our team at CareTech Community Services Ltd. As a Male Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, severe physical disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, challenging behavior, mental health, forensic needs, and acquired brain injury.
Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
- Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others while respecting appropriate confidentiality.
- Support service users with the preparation of meals, laundry duties, cleaning, and social events.
- Maintain accurate notes and records as and when required.
- Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one.
- Experience in supporting adults with challenging behavior, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues.
- The ability to keep calm under pressure.
- The confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The passion to work with vulnerable adults.
- The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding.
