Role Summary

As a platform engineer, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and sustaining the delivery infrastructure, systems, and processes that drive technology transformation initiatives. You will also champion the adoption of contemporary platforms and methodologies.

We seek proactive platform engineers with a profound understanding of the Azure ecosystem to collaborate with delivery teams on exciting digital projects across various sectors.

As an Azure authority, you will engage in small product teams alongside developers, architects, designers, analysts, and product owners to implement automation, tooling, and cloud infrastructure solutions.

We promote continuous learning; therefore, in addition to collaborating with some of the industry's brightest minds and evaluating cutting-edge technologies, we will incentivize you for achieving Azure certifications.

Candidate Profile

You will possess the expertise and assurance to define and support the Azure delivery platform in complex projects, typically working within multidisciplinary teams on client premises.

Your qualifications will include:

  • Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments within Azure.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, Helm, or Pulumi.
  • Proficiency in pipeline build/deploy tools including Azure DevOps, TFS, or Jenkins.
  • Advanced automation and scripting skills using tools such as PowerShell, AZ CLI, Python, Bash, Ruby, or Groovy.
  • In-depth knowledge of configuration management technologies like DSC, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack, or Ansible.
  • Comprehensive understanding of logging and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure App Insights, New Relic, or Datadog.
  • Familiarity with cloud platform design patterns and best practices.
  • Knowledge of common database and caching technologies, including Azure SQL, CosmosDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Memcache, or Redis.
  • Basic understanding of prevalent programming languages utilized in modern web application development, such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Go, or PHP.
  • Exposure to iterative/agile development methodologies and experience in facilitating team delivery through technology.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms and technologies is a plus.
