About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Pharmacy Support Worker to join our team at Princess Alexandra Hospital. As a Pharmacy Support Worker, you will work closely with the Pharmacy team to provide an effective pharmacy service in the Dispensary, at Ward Level, and to support the dispensing of out-patient prescriptions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify, select, and issue drugs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Receive and update stock levels using the Pharmacy Computer System.
  • Deal with telephone enquiries, ward, department, and community issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support the movement of work around the organization, including medicines and pharmacy orders.
  • Load and operate the automated pharmacy storage and dispensing system.
  • Participate in the ward top-up system and ensure the appropriate storage of pharmaceutical items.
