Role Overview:

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will serve as the initial point of contact for users, tasked with delivering 1st Line hardware and software assistance, managing incidents, logging calls, overseeing asset management, and providing general IT administrative support along with other IT facility services.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Provide first line technical assistance to users, helping them with hardware and software issues while resolving problems within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).


2. Administer user accounts, reset passwords, assign permissions, and manage group policies utilizing Active Directory.

3. Manage Email Accounts through Exchange Management.

4. Support users and troubleshoot PCs and laptops running Windows 10, MS Office 365, and Apple devices.

5. Install software, configure PCs and laptops, and perform basic troubleshooting.

6. Connect users to the network and telephone systems.

7. Create and image laptops and PCs using Windows Deployment Services (WDS) with the latest company image of technologies such as Windows 10 and Office 365.

8. Create VLANs within the group on networking equipment.

9. Configure mobile devices such as iPads and iPhones using JAMF MDM.
Candidate Requirements:


1. Experience in a similar role (1st Line / Helpdesk / Service Desk) or relevant IT qualifications such as an IT Apprenticeship.


2. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, and Office Applications.

3. Familiarity with Audio Visual systems or knowledge.

4. Solid understanding of computer hardware and troubleshooting hardware issues.

5. Previous experience in the education sector is advantageous, though not mandatory.
