About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Tax Director to lead our Private Client team in the South Coast region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality private client tax advice and compliance services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead the Private Client team in the South Coast region, providing guidance and support to team members to ensure the delivery of exceptional client service.
- Strategy and Budgeting: Support the development of strategic plans and budgets for the Private Client team, ensuring alignment with the firm's overall goals and objectives.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, providing excellent client service and identifying opportunities to support them further.
- Business Development: Collaborate with other service lines to identify and pursue business development opportunities, including attending industry events and presenting to clients.
- Tax Risk Management: Identify and manage tax risk within the private client portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality and risk procedures.
- Knowledge Sharing: Support the wider National private client tax teams in relation to complex issues arising across the team, and lead in driving forward learning and development for the Poole tax team.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, including regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Professional Qualification: Hold a relevant professional qualification, such as CTA or similar.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record of building internal and external relationships and networks, with experience in leading teams and managing budgets.
- Technical Tax Knowledge: Demonstrates broad and strong technical tax knowledge and expertise, with the ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to positively impact and influence others.
- Project Management: Takes ownership of projects, effectively delegates to others within the team, and takes responsibility for quality control.
