Job Description

Comex 2000 UK Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civils Operative Reinstatement Specialist to join our Fibre Upgrade team in Scotland.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform excavations, repairs, and reinstatements of telecoms infrastructure located within the public highway and customer premises.
  • Install ducting chambers and street cabinets, and draw rope on telecoms infrastructure.
  • Operate manual and mechanical equipment, including Stihl saws, Wacker plates, and trench compactors.
  • Ensure all works are completed as required, while adhering to company processes and procedures.
  • Reinstate to industry standard, capturing all necessary information and pictures on company-supplied assets.
  • Hold the correct certification to complete works, including Streetworks ticket units 1-6 and 9, CSCS, and NRSWA.
  • Be responsible for company assets and plant assigned to perform duties.
  • Ensure compliance with all current client processes and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients.
  • Complete project-related works on time and meet client committed dates for delivery of works.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to converse with all levels.
  • Take personal responsibility and be accountable, working with minimal supervision.
  • A positive team player, being supportive and positively encouraging colleagues.
  • Organized, professional, and proactive attitude to work.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Innovative approach, continuously looking to improve or create efficiencies.
  • Proficient use or a good level of understanding in the use of technology and systems relevant to the role.
  • Street works ticket units 1-6 and 9, CSCS, and NRSWA.
  • Be in good physical health.
  • Towing and 7.5 tonne license essential.
