About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled nurse to join our team as a Sister/Charge Nurse on Ward 404 Respiratory at the Royal Derby Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the ward's day-to-day activities, ensuring safe staffing and skill mix to deliver high-quality care with compassion, dignity, and respect.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Coordinate the ward's activities, including staffing, skill mix, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet the needs of patients with respiratory disorders.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Respiratory experience or coordinator experience.
  • Qualified with demonstrable experience.
  • Compassion, care, competence, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and undertake IPRs.
