Job Title: Assistant H&S Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Kenton Black Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site audits to monitor health and safety standards and prepare comprehensive audit reports.
  • Suggest and implement improvements on-site, ensuring that required actions are completed.
  • Induct new starters, ensuring they understand risks, methods, and standards expected on our sites.
  • Verify the qualifications of erectors on site to ensure they meet minimum standards.
  • Deliver training and toolbox talks to educate site personnel on expected standards.
  • Complete accident investigation reports and prepare RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) as required.
  • Assist the Head of SHE with documentation, administration, training, and projects.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
  • Education to a good standard, preferably higher education or above.
  • Membership of IOSH.
  • NEBOSH General and NEBOSH Construction certification.
  • Current UK driving license and use of a personal car for work-related usage.
  • Self-motivated and positive attitude with good communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly to suit the needs and demands of the role.
  • Sound appreciation of Health and Safety practices on site.
