English Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced English teacher to join our team at a Skelmersdale SEN secondary school. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to delivering high-quality education to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach English to students with varying abilities and needs
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and progress
  • Assess and evaluate student performance to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve student outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • QTS and up-to-date DBS on the update service or willingness to undertake a full and enhanced DBS check
  • Experience teaching English to students with special educational needs
  • Strong subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
