About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Controller to join our client's finance team on a temporary basis. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our business by ensuring a proactive approach to collecting outstanding debt and meeting collection targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Debt Collection and Management: Maintain accurate records of chasing activities and payment promises, and follow guidance from the team leader to effectively address issues.
  • Team Support: Assist with the workload of other team members as needed, and drive continuous improvement in reducing the number of days debts remain overdue.
  • Credit Management: Manage and monitor new customer account setups, including setting and controlling credit limits, and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal colleagues.
  • Financial Reporting: Perform daily bank reconciliations, and provide cover and support across other Finance Assistant roles when necessary.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of financial software and MS Office.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy.
