About the Role
National Grid is seeking a highly skilled HR Transformation and Change Lead to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving our digital transformation and change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a bridge between employees, the program team, and the Central Change Management team, representing the voice of the division being represented.
- Assess and escalate functional risks and issues and support the programme in understanding dependencies and risks.
- Facilitate two-way feedback between the change team and change champions, providing subject matter expertise or connecting the change team with relevant experts.
- Act as a role model and key face of the change.
- Ensure senior leadership and the People teams within the division are actively engaged with the programme, understand its impact and are proactively communicating its outcomes.
- Develop local stakeholder assessment, change impact, and local change plan derived from the central change plan.
- Own and manage local change network engagement.
- Track business readiness criteria and facilitate readiness conversations with the business and feed back into the programme for improvements.
- Conduct roadshows and actively communicate PDT updates and benefits.
- Develop local communication plans, creation of tailored engaging content.
- Tailor and execute targeted change interventions and communications for local changes based on insight and data.
- Report progress and status updates to the central change team.
- Gather feedback and insights from stakeholders to drive improvements.
- Develop and deliver knowledge transfer materials for business-as-usual (BAU) handover.
- Drive actions from the WaveSpace with leaders.
- Responsible for meeting with team members and Change Champions to gather business readiness criteria, progress data, and identify mitigation actions for lagging criteria.
- Upskill BAU owners on training materials and content ownership.
- Track key measures of success and ensure effective knowledge transfer to new and changing roles.
- Inputs into the design and testing of PDT projects.
About You
- Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years experience in senior HR Business partnering roles in a regulated industry with demonstrable experience of leading change and transformation during that time.
- Leadership: Proven ability to engage quickly with stakeholders across the business at all levels is critical.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills will be key.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to develop data-driven insights and solutions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
What You'll Get
A competitive salary between £70,000 – £95,000 – dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a company car or allowance, a bonus of up to 20% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, a salary sacrifice technology scheme, support via the employee assistance line and matched charity giving to name a few.
