Teaching Personnel is collaborating with a wonderful mainstream Primary School seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their team. This position is full-time and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives.

POSITION: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

LOCATION: Weymouth DT4

COMPENSATION: £84-£94 per Day, depending on experience

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

TERM: Initially until the end of the Autumn Term, with the possibility of extension.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide individualized support to a Year 1 pupil with specific needs, including ASD, ADHD, and global developmental delays, while assisting with personal care.
  • Facilitate learning through engaging activities tailored to the pupil's unique requirements.
  • Monitor and report on the pupil's progress to the class teacher, discussing developments and guided learning strategies.
  • Assist in the Year 4 classroom during the afternoons, supporting the classroom teacher with assigned tasks.
