Position: Senior EA and Quantity Surveyor

Work Arrangement: Remote – covering various regions

Salary: £59,281 - £68,641 annually, inclusive of Company vehicle or car allowance

Hours: 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 9:00am – 5:00pm

We are seeking a Senior EA and Quantity Surveyor to become a vital part of our Employer's Agent team, which operates within our broader Development Construction department. This team is tasked with cost planning, tendering for construction initiatives, negotiating contract terms with contractors, compiling contract documentation, and managing on-site construction contracts for our ongoing development projects. The successful candidate will oversee independent projects across various regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing contract administration for Design and Build construction projects
  • Leading progress meetings, conducting interim valuations, and issuing contract instructions
  • Evaluating contractual claims, managing information flow, and collaborating with internal departments
  • Working alongside Project Managers to ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements for development activities
  • Managing risks and finances associated with development opportunities and projects

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A relevant BSc degree and ideally a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS), or actively pursuing Chartership
  • Membership or nearing membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Recent experience in a similar role within a professional consultancy or comparable organization
  • Experience in various building types, particularly in residential properties, care homes, and student accommodation is preferred
  • A valid UK driving license is required for driving company vehicles

Salary Structure:

The salary for this role is dependent on the successful candidate's home location:

  • Outside London: £56,718 with an additional policy allowance of £2,563 per annum (increasing to £59,703 with an additional policy allowance of £2,698 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
  • London: £62,389 with an additional policy allowance of £2,820 per annum (increasing to £65,673 with an additional policy allowance of £2,968 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
