Control of Contractors Coordinator

Job Summary
The Control of Contractors Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the successful and safe management of all subcontractor works. This involves owning and implementing the client work authorization and permit-to-work process, as well as implementing proactive and diligent governance measures to ensure all relevant subcontractor information and control measures are in place.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for subcontractor prequalification, reviewing risk assessments and method statements, delivering subcontractor inductions, issuing work authorizations and permits to work to ensure the safe delivery of work across site.
- Liaison with subcontractor groups, and account key stakeholders to ensure the timely issue of work authorizations & permits to work in line with procedural requirements.
- Plan and prioritize works, in collaboration with key stakeholders, to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure all relevant subcontractor H&S information is proactively obtained and thoroughly reviewed.
- Ensure all relevant risks and associated control measures have been robustly adopted prior to authorization of works.
- Audit and inspect subcontractor works to ensure adherence to procedural and legislative requirements to drive compliance and continuous improvement.
- Report, investigate and drive corrective/preventative actions in instances of subcontractor violations and non-conformances to prevent re-occurrences.
- Compliance reporting to demonstrate operational transparency and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop strong relationships with subcontractor groups to drive a culture of trust, collaboration and adherence.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- An IOSH plus some H&S experience within the built environment.
