- Direct staff to complete design and technical drawing, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Review design and technical drawing of junior designers, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Review engineering drawings to ensure compliance with design solutions, guaranteeing accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work with technical staff to resolve inconsistencies in drawings, promoting efficient communication and problem-solving.
- Aid in the creation of floor plans, elevations, architectural and millwork details, and overall design intent sets for the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and distribution to architects.
- Review and redline construction documents, shop drawings, and related submittals, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Produce, review, and finalize space plans for projects, considering client needs and business objectives.
- Develop extensive knowledge of detailing and finalize details on projects, ensuring precision and quality.
- Review and produce final cost estimates, providing accurate and reliable financial information.
- In unusual circumstances, assist with support for field surveys, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
- Manage overall design budget, ensuring adherence to set budget and promptly informing PM and/or client of any potential variances.
- Manage the work of other Designers, overseeing tasks and providing feedback on work product.
- Organize and conduct client interviews to determine space needs and requirements, fostering strong relationships and understanding client goals.
- Continuously provide needed information to clients on design specifications, showcasing expertise and knowledge of Affinity program tool.
- Graduate of architecture school, with equivalent experience may be substituted.
- 4+ years' experience in corporate or workplace design projects, preferably with a focus on interior design.
- Strong Revit Skills, with proficiency in using the software to create high-quality designs.
- Must provide work samples or a portfolio along with your CV, demonstrating expertise and creativity.
- Extensive knowledge of design principles, including spatial planning, visual merchandising, and brand identity.
- Extensive knowledge of store planning methodology, including layout optimization and customer flow analysis.
- Proficient with the concepts of furniture layout, including ergonomics and accessibility.
- Expert sketching and rendering skills, with the ability to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Expert architecture detailing skills, with a focus on precision and quality.
- Extensive knowledge of CDs and procedures, including contract administration and project management.
- Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Commitment to support projects through peaks and valleys, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
- Intermediate MS Office Suite skills, with proficiency in using software to create presentations and reports.
- Advanced Revit skills, with expertise in using the software to create complex designs.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, with proficiency in using software to create visual content.
- Affinity Program skills or equivalent, with the ability to use software to create high-quality designs.
- Extensive verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Extensive presentation and graphic communication skills, with the ability to present design ideas and concepts effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead staff through a combination of direct authority and subject matter expertise, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
