At Havebury Housing Partnership, we are looking for Hostel Support Staff to maintain the safety and well-being of our facility, colleagues, visitors, and residents within our service. In this role, you will collaborate with the Management Team and Support Workers to provide essential support to residents as they work towards independent living. You will work closely with Support Workers to address the daily needs of residents and oversee the operations of the 24-hour hostel environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Performing safety checks on residents and ensuring building security
  • Upholding hostel regulations and documenting any violations
  • Preparing accommodations for new residents
  • Supporting the development of residents' social and life skills
  • Overseeing and managing inventory items

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles
  • Knowledge of homelessness challenges
  • Proficient in computer usage and quick to learn new software
  • Experience in compassionate communication
  • Commitment to fostering independent living skills
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience, flexibility, and adaptability
