Operations Director

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Jonathan Lee Recruitment. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of experienced professionals in the development and on-time delivery of products for both UK and international clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and a proven track record of creating a sustainable continuous improvement culture. You will be responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing operations and processes are carried out effectively and meet the company's high standards of Safety, Health and Environmental legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of experienced professionals to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental legislation.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing capability and quality standards.
- Provide leadership, training and support to ensure production capability and resources can achieve present and predicted future production requirements.
Requirements:
- Results-oriented with demonstrable experience of sustainable culture change that delivers productivity improvement and bottom line results.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills gained within a modern MRP/ERP, manufacturing environment certified to ISO9001 and ISO4001.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with proven problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Significant production and people management experience with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control and HSE compliance.
