The Recruitment Co is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Nelson. As a market leader in the retail distribution sector, our client requires a professional who can deliver a high-quality engineering service to support operational targets.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Engineering Team Lead to achieve operational excellence and improve site efficiency and performance standards.
- Complete a full range of maintenance activities across the installed asset base, including rapid diagnosis and resolution of mechanical, electrical, and control & instrumentation faults.
- Accurately complete all monitoring systems and report any non-conformances to Company Policies/Procedures/Standards.
- Support the delivery of key performance indicators for the Factory, including Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, and Cost Standards.
- Pro-actively identify areas for continuous improvement within the production work environment/equipment/systems.
- Safety:
Competent at completing safety device system checks and isolation activities, and immediately reporting any non-conformances and food safety concerns. - Quality:
Competent at completing documentation / SAP / CMMS entries, and complying with Engineering Standards / GMP / HACCP. - People:
Qualified Mechanical and Electrical Engineer with FMCG experience, and compliant with mandatory training – plant/factory and role specific. - Delivery:
Multi-skilled: electrical and mechanical, with the ability to fault find and rectify for majority of faults, and create effective MME improvement plans and manage to completion. - Cost:
Makes cost-effective decisions, proactively carries out service repairs of parts, and identifies equipment modifications to improve MME and OEE performance.
This role involves working on a continental shift pattern consisting of 2 weeks on days and 2 weeks on nights, 42 hours per week on average. The working hours are 6am – 6pm and then 6pm – 6am (12 hour shifts).
CompensationThe annual salary is £53,272.96.
