Senior Editor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Editor to join our team at Hachette UK. As a Senior Editor, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the Enid Blyton publishing programme, project managing young fiction series, and commissioning authors.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the Enid Blyton publishing programme, including project managing young fiction series
- Commission authors, edit manuscripts, and input into illustration briefs
- Work with the Assistant Editor to compile Enid Blyton story collections
- Write TIs, cover copy, marketing copy, and manage schedules
- Liaise with design and production teams
- Oversee sensitivity updates and draft acquisitions documents
- Strong editorial and project-management skills
- Versatile and flexible
- Able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinker
- Meticulous and organised

The role will be based at our London office, Carmelite House, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
