Job Title: Data Scientist

Salary: £70,000

Work Type: Hybrid - Sevenoaks

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our experienced team at Harnham. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in creating impactful Machine Learning models and working with cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply data science and machine learning methods for forecasting, process optimization, and behavior analysis.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to identify new business opportunities, including presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Assume responsibility for model validation and assessment.
  • Proactively identify areas within the organization where Analytics can provide insights or streamline operations.
  • Serve as an in-house consultant, interpreting user requests and proposing improved or alternative approaches to achieving desired outcomes.
  • Continuously explore and investigate novel tools and techniques for analysis, modeling, data exploration, and presentation.
  • Regularly utilize Python, T-SQL, and Excel.
  • Contribute to the documentation of fundamental processes and protocols.
  • Remain open to learning and using additional tools and languages as per the evolving needs of the team and business.

Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD level education in STEM subjects.
  • Proven expertise in implementing Machine Learning and clustering techniques.
  • Strong commercial experience with Python and data visualization, and proficient knowledge of Python, R, and Scala.
  • Previous commercial exposure to tools such as Keras, TensorFlow, and Python.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with teams and colleagues.
