Data Privacy Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Privacy Analyst to join our team at Locke & McCloud. As a Data Privacy Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of data subject requests under UK data protection laws.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end data subject requests, including access and erasure requests, and information requests from external bodies.
  • Develop and enhance internal documentation and communications around the data subject request process.
  • Work closely with the team to develop and integrate tools involved in the data subject request process.
  • Assist in identifying improvements to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
  • Support the application of organisation-wide processes, such as Data Protection by Design and Default.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of data protection and security training, awareness initiatives, and eLearning programmes.
  • Provide well-considered and clear advice on data protection and security-related queries.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding and practical experience of UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Possession of one or more recognised data protection qualifications.
  • Substantial experience in handling data subject requests under the UK GDPR.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively and flexibly within a team.
