About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team at JCA Engineering. As a key member of our Construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and environmental well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients on our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective HSE strategies and policies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site managers, and contractors to ensure HSE best practices are integrated into all aspects of our projects.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on HSE procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop and maintain HSE documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure HSE and quality objectives are aligned.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar HSE role.
  • Technical Member of IOSH (Tech IOSH) or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • Emergency First Aid certification.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
