Job Description

Job Summary:

GivEnergy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Field Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our commercial energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission commercial energy storage systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing systems, identifying and resolving potential issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine the feasibility of commercial energy storage solutions for potential clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer support, to develop and implement new products and services.
  • Provide on-site training and support to installers and distributors, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively install and maintain our systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with 3rd party suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration and support of our products.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license (essential)
  • Electrical competence or an electrical background (essential)
  • 18th Edition (or up to date equivalent electrical qualification) and be a qualified electrician (CSCS card preferred)
  • Good level of commercial electrician experience (essential)
  • Happy to travel, with potential for overnight stays and night/weekend work due to the nature of sites
  • IT skills, as both off and on site will require the use of a PC/Laptop
  • Happy to work collaboratively or independently
  • Experience or a passion for the Renewable Energy industry
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Outstanding communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Efficient planning and organisation capability
  • Interest in problem solving and issue identification
  • An active learner with a thirst for knowledge
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Positive and helpful attitude
