Position: Logistics and Customer Service Team Leader

Our client is a prominent player in the global market, boasting a workforce of over 1000 professionals across various manufacturing sites worldwide. They are currently enhancing their operations in the UK by transitioning logistics management in-house.

We are in search of a Logistics and Customer Service Team Leader who possesses a solid background in supply chain management, warehouse operations, or logistics, potentially gained within a retail setting.

Compensation:
Approximately £34,000 plus a £2,000 performance bonus.
Working Schedule:
Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Benefits:
25 days of annual leave plus public holidays, along with a 5% matched pension scheme.

The Logistics and Customer Service Team Leader will be instrumental in establishing and overseeing the new warehouse operations for the UK division. The successful candidate will manage the transition of logistics from an external provider to an in-house framework. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and managing the new warehouse, including the recruitment and supervision of a small team.
  • Overseeing all aspects of site management, from maintenance to supply procurement.
  • Acting as a primary liaison for customers, drivers, and internal personnel to facilitate logistics management, order processing, invoicing, and necessary documentation for goods handling.
  • Coordinating with the Project Manager and the internal team based in the EU.

Ideal candidates will have a background in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management, with management experience being highly desirable. Proficiency in Spanish and familiarity with SAP systems will be advantageous.

This role is an excellent fit for individuals with experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management, particularly in customer-focused positions. It offers a degree of autonomy and independence, supported by the Senior Leadership Team.
