About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Garment Technologist to join our team at Tagged Resources Limited. As a Garment Technologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our fashion products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with designers and account managers to create first-size specifications for sampling and costing.
  • Work closely with the Merchandiser to ensure critical path dates are met and updated on a daily basis.
  • Attend handovers and highlight any foreseeable issues.
  • Liaise with customers and overseas factories to ensure smooth production runs.
  • Responsible for attending fit meetings and relaying issues/comments to the overseas factories.
  • Produce clear and detailed technical specifications.
  • Ensure that all fit samples and production runs are of high quality and meet the required standards.
  • Measure development, fit samples, pre-production samples, and production samples to ensure they meet the required quality and measurement.
  • Ensure all technical information is up-to-date with customer requirements and manuals, and communicated to factories.
  • Have the ability to read and advise on test reports to the customers' requirements.
  • Have an understanding of care labels based on the fabric.
  • Check 3rd party inspections to ensure they meet the customers' requirements.
  • Carry out checks for bulk stock, comparing with approved production sample/spec for own brand.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Degree in Fashion Technology or experience working within the supply chain.
  • Understanding of garment construction.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Understanding of pattern cutting/grading is desirable.
  • Knowledge of sustainability is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to key deadlines.
  • Able to work on one's own initiative, along with being a team player.
