Forseven is a leading company in the electric vehicle industry, dedicated to revolutionizing transportation through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices. We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of design engineers in delivering harness design and electrical component packaging solutions.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on design and packaging challenges.
  • Represent the Electrical team in crucial reviews and discussions.
  • Design wiring harnesses using CATIA V5/V6 software.
  • Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) content with precision.
  • Lead internal meetings and reviews to ensure project progress and alignment.
  • Support design review meetings with suppliers, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain the CAD database as needed, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Effectively manage design issues through a tracking system, resolving them promptly and efficiently.
  • Create clear and concise 2D drawings to support design documentation.
  • Provide support for mechanical work and build processes, contributing to seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Take ownership of the design process from concept to production, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams during reviews, ensuring alignment and successful implementation.
  • Develop a comprehensive fixation strategy for components, optimizing their placement and security.
  • Manage the Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) and component maturity through designated platforms.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of the Automotive New Product Development Process.
  • Proven experience in automotive wiring harness design and power distribution system development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and components, including their functionalities and interactions.
  • Expertise in design for electrical performance and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) compliance.
  • Strong understanding of electric vehicle architectures and their unique challenges.
  • Extensive experience with CATIA V5/V6 software, demonstrating proficiency in its various functionalities.
  • Experience in circuit design and electrical packaging, ensuring efficient and reliable system integration.
  • Proficiency in 2D drawings and electrical circuits, enabling clear communication of design intent.
  • Experience in managing design changes effectively, minimizing disruptions and ensuring smooth implementation.
  • Familiarity with system/component delivery frameworks, promoting efficient project execution.
  • Experience in harness testing and validation procedures, guaranteeing the reliability and performance of designed systems.
  • Ability to utilize engineering tools and collaborative platforms effectively, fostering seamless teamwork and communication.
