As an Actuarial Pricing Data Scientist within our dynamic Aerospace team, you'll play a pivotal role in quantifying risk, establishing competitive pricing strategies, and ensuring the financial success of AIG's global insurance operations.

Your Impact:

  • Provide expert actuarial and analytical support to the Global Aerospace Business, driving profitable growth and addressing performance challenges.
  • Develop and enhance technical pricing tools using Python, leveraging your coding expertise to refine our pricing models.
  • Conduct in-depth performance analysis at a granular level using R, empowering underwriters with actionable insights to optimize results.
  • Lead transformative projects that shape the future of our Aerospace insurance offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with the actuarial pricing team to monitor rates, ensure technical pricing models are robust and regularly reviewed, and maintain consistency across regions.
  • Champion data integrity by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data used for pricing and performance monitoring.
  • Contribute to profitability studies and business planning initiatives, providing valuable insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Adhere to key regulatory and risk management procedures, upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct.

What We Seek:

  • A strong academic background in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Pricing Actuary or Data Scientist within the General Insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in R and VBA, with Python skills being highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
