About the Role

As a Deputy Children's Home Manager, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to children and young people within our client's residential setting. This is an opportunity to contribute to their well-being and development while advancing your career in a rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth daily operation of the home, upholding the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower the staff team, fostering a positive and nurturing atmosphere for both staff and residents.
  • Oversee the implementation and evaluation of individualized care plans, tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Serve as a role model for staff, promoting best practices in childcare and safeguarding procedures.
  • Assume responsibility for managing the home in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring continuous care and support for the children.
  • Build strong relationships with external agencies, professionals, and families to promote the overall well-being and development of the children.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP) or an equivalent.
  • Demonstrate experience working in a children's home setting as a Senior or Deputy Manager.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
  • Be flexible and willing to work varying hours, including sleep-ins.
