Job Title: Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing expert accounting and tax services to our clients, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

About the Role:

  • Plan, prepare, and review financial statements for a diverse client portfolio.
  • Liaise directly with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on financial matters.
  • Forecast and manage budgets, oversee workflow, and mentor junior staff.
  • Prepare personal and corporation tax computations, including tax returns and liabilities.
  • Work closely with senior team members to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met.

Requirements:

  • ACCA or ACA qualified or part qualified with previous experience within practice.
  • A proven track record of working with clients within practice.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software, including Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero.
  • Adept at using Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication and advisory skills.
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage a team's workflow.
  • A team player able to bring out the best in others.
