About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our innovative nursing education team within the School of Healthcare at the University of Leicester. This role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction in our Nursing with Leadership Dual Field program, specifically in Pediatric Nursing and Mental Health. The successful candidate will also contribute to various nursing programs, serving as a mentor and inspiring students to engage fully in their nursing careers.

This position offers a remarkable opportunity for a nurse with educational experience to enhance their teaching and training capabilities while becoming part of a dynamic and growing nursing faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement undergraduate teaching resources
  • Participate in and conduct assessment processes
  • Support placement initiatives and foster networking opportunities
  • Act as a personal tutor and engage in related activities
  • Promote and support initiatives aligned with our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity objectives
  • Engage in governance and quality assurance processes to ensure continuous improvement of the course and enhance student experiences
  • Contribute to the University's community engagement efforts, building external partnerships and supporting local community initiatives
  • Enhance personal teaching and assessment competencies
  • Participate in broader school activities relevant to expertise and role

The successful candidate will work independently within an expanding nursing team, taking ownership of their responsibilities and striving to achieve academic and professional objectives.
