About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Buyer to join our team at boohooMAN. As a Junior Buyer, you will play a key role in managing part of our fast fashion Jersey offering, working closely with our Design and Merchandising teams to ensure the success of our product lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development: Undertake product development and develop proposition as the area of business grows.
  • International Growth: Ensure proposition can deliver required international growth and maintains understanding of requirements of new territories.
  • Strategic Planning: Work in conjunction with the Senior Leadership team, to influence strategic plans and developments.
  • Communication: Ensure effective communication with junior, assistant, and trainee buyers in designated areas and across the entire department.
  • Stock Management: Monitor stock covers on single lines.
  • Reporting: Reports and effectively communicates all key information in trading meeting to Heads and Director level.
  • Competitor Analysis: Responds to competitor analysis.
  • Buying Trips: Completes buying trips as needed within UK and internationally.
  • Marketing and eCommerce: Liaises with marketing and eCommerce teams to develop and maintain professional working relationships and ensure sales are maximised through the site and in line with overall strategy.
Requirements
  • Positive Attitude: A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Industry Knowledge: Outstanding industry knowledge, be current and ahead at identifying trends and commercial wins for the brand.
  • Passion for Menswear: You will be super passionate about the menswear industry and keep our collections ahead of the competition.
  • Commercial Experience: Successfully held a Junior Buyer or Buyer role on a fast fashion apparel category – womenswear backgrounds will also be considered.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience of developing and mentoring junior team members.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Autonomy: Ability to work independently.
  • Travel: Able to travel when the business requires.
