Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at Tata Steel Europe Ltd. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of capital projects and plant improvement schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Drawing Office Team and the Project Support Team to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Lead a team of project engineers, design draughtsmen, and contractors to implement safe working practices and provide engineering and technology support to plant engineers and manufacturing teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of engineering equipment developments and liaise with stakeholders to ensure project delivery.
  • Deputise for the Projects Manager as required.

Requirements

  • Degree in an appropriate discipline and relevant plant experience in the steel or construction industry.
  • Experience in the planning and implementation of capital projects and the management of external contractors.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and construction regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels within the organization.
