About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Sense, a leading charity that supports people with complex disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals to live the life they choose, promoting their independence, and supporting them in their daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to individuals with dual-sensory impairments, promoting their personal and social development, and encouraging independence through enabling access to activities.
  • Support individuals with day-to-day activities, such as personal care and hygiene, and enable them to access a variety of activities based on their sensory needs, communication preferences, and interests.
  • Work in partnership with individuals, their families, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized support plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives and projects that promote the independence and well-being of individuals supported by Sense.
Requirements
  • Full UK license with the use of your own vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
