Job Title: Administrator and Data Support

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrator and Data Support to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our Obesity Department, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Obesity Department, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks.
  2. Typing Support: Provide typing support to the Obesity team, including touch, digital audio, and copy typing.
  3. Data Input: Undertake data input duties to ensure computerized records are kept up to date and accurate at all times.
  4. Correspondence: Type and check letters at speed from dictation, and other tasks associated with the production and circulation of clinical correspondence.
  5. Validation: Validate dictations to ensure patient details are correct by cross-referencing the profiling window with the dictation.
  6. Customer Service: Answer telephone calls and escalate concerns and queries from patients to the appropriate clinician.
  7. Knowledge Development: Develop a wider knowledge of the service to facilitate patient queries via email/telephone.
  8. Administrative Tasks: Support with admin tasks related to pilot schemes, pathway changes, or digital implementation within the service.
  9. Confidentiality: Observe strict confidentiality in all matters concerning patients and visitors.
  10. Health and Safety: Be aware of Departmental Health and Safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • Typing Qualification: Typing Qualification (LCC, RSA, or similar) please specify grade.
  • Microsoft Office: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • NHS IT Applications: NHS IT Applications (iPM, Evolve, ICE, Big Hand).
  • Typing Experience: Typing in an office-based environment.

Person Specification:

  • Confidentiality Awareness: Understanding of the need for confidentiality awareness at all times.
  • NHS Knowledge: Understanding of the NHS and medical terminology.

Skills:

  • Report and Minute Taking: Report and minute taking.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check:
