Premises Officer Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Premises Officer to join our team at Discovery Schools Academies Trust. As a key member of our school team, you will be responsible for the supervision of our site and the maintenance and security of our buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the school site, ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Undertake risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards.
- Perform a range of basic repairs and maintenance tasks related to equipment and materials used in classrooms.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and security activities.
- Support the management of cleaning staff and contractors, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
Requirements
- Ability to alert senior staff to unsafe practices and take proactive measures to prevent accidents.
- Ability to undertake risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards.
- Ability to perform a range of basic repairs and maintenance tasks related to equipment and materials used in classrooms.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to senior staff.
- Good level of literacy and numeracy, with NVQ level 2 or equivalent in numeracy and literacy.
