Job Title: General Builder / Groundworker

Are you a skilled groundworker or general builder looking for a permanent position in Exeter?

We are working with a construction contractor based in Exeter who are seeking a reliable and experienced General Builder / Groundworker to join their team.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 2 and carry out construction repair work on domestic properties, including groundworks, concreting, and basic joinery.
  • Operate machinery on site and use power and hand tools.
  • Work from site drawings and liaise with Project Managers, clients, and the commercial team.
  • Ensure health and safety is followed on site and maintain accurate records.
  • Work to a high standard and be self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised.

Our client is a specialist contractor who works on fire and flood and environmental damaged domestic properties. They are a nationwide business based from the Exeter office covering the South West region.

They are a long-established and stable business with a strong reputation in the industry.

Requirements:
  • Experience working in a similar role on domestic properties.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and lead a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
