About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Bush and Company Rehabilitation. The successful candidate will provide 2:1 support to a young adult with complex medical needs, enabling him to pursue his studies and enjoy university life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 2:1 support to the client at university and at home
  • Act as a communication partner, helping with studies and fulfilling care needs
  • Support the client socially, enabling him to participate in university life
  • Assist with household duties and tasks as required
  • Support the client on trips away and provide occasional waking night support
Requirements
  • Full driving licence and ability to drive the client's large vehicle
  • Experience of working with young people with additional needs (desirable)
  • Enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service
  • Ability to work a mix of days, afternoons, evenings, and nights, including weekends
Working Conditions

The role involves working in a busy household, supporting the client's complex medical needs, and participating in household duties. The successful candidate will be required to work a mix of days, afternoons, evenings, and nights, including weekends. The rota is agreed a month in advance, and preferred days to work/not work are accommodated where possible.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rates, including weekday, Saturday, Sunday, weekday night, Saturday night, Sunday night, and Bank Holiday rates
